The Annwyn method
Every journey follows a clear process, from our first conversation through the decisions, bookings, and details that follow. Each phase builds on what we have already established, so the choices we make stay connected to your priorities throughout the planning process.
O1/DEFINE
I make sure we have a shared understanding before I begin planning.
We start with a conversation about what matters to you, how you like to travel, who is coming, and what they need. I turn what I heard into a clear planning brief that captures your priorities, preferences, constraints, and practical requirements. You review it, we refine anything that needs adjusting, and you confirm it before I begin making recommendations.
We also review the scope of the work, my planning process, and my free structure, so we are aligned on expectations and how we will work together.
02/VERIFY
I check the details that matter to your journey.
The planning brief gives me a clear standard for evaluating each option. I look closely at the details that can shape your experience, including timing, logistics, room categories, inclusions, terms, and the pace of the journey. I verify information through direct supplier conversations and vetted professional partners when their expertise can give us greater clarity.
Every recommendation is also checked against a clear sourcing standard, so you know how it was vetted. You will see the options I seriously considered, what I ruled out, and why. I explain the trade-offs that come with the strongest options, so you can make informed decisions about what works best for your journey.
03/SECURE
I put your decisions in place and coordinate the journey.
Once you have made your choices, I handle the bookings and coordinate directly with suppliers involved in your trip. I confirm the details, connections, and practical requirements we established earlier, and make sure the pieces work together as a whole, not just on their own.
I also look closely at the points where timing, logistics, or dependencies matter most and plan for the contingencies we can reasonably anticipate. Your itinerary is structured so I have the information I need to respond quickly when plans change.
04/ADVOCATE
I stay involved from booking through your return home.
When plans change, I pick up the thread and help you navigate what comes next. I communicate directly with suppliers when I can act on your behalf, help you understand your options and the trade-offs involved, and keep you informed as we work through the next steps.
Some situations require you to communicate or make decisions directly with a supplier. When that happens, I help you understand what is needed, make sure you know who to contact, and stay engaged as the situation moves forward.
After you return, I want to hear about the experience. I want to know what you loved, what you would choose differently, and what felt worth the money. What I learn becomes part of how I plan for you next time.
The sourcing standard
No travel advisor has been everywhere. I certainly haven't. That's why I tell you the basis for every recommendation I make.
-
Firsthand means that I've stayed there, sailed it, experienced it, or inspected it myself.
-
On the ground means I've vetted it through a named contact with direct, current experience.
-
Professional partner means I've sourced it through a recognized supplier, operator, or preferred partner relationship.
When questions remain, I tell you what I know, what I am still verifying, and how that affects my recommendation.
